Very Velvet

Piko 1988 Velvet Dress (similar here), Forever 21 Heart Belt, Zara Heels (love this style), Vintage Earrings

I absolutely adore how velvet screams holiday! I felt like this skater dress shape was missing something, so I added a belt to break up the black and draw the eye to the waist. What do you guys think? Are you fans of velvet?

    I absolutely love all the velvet I'm seeing lately! Admittedly, I'm a bit apprehensive to wear it (I was a 90's child who was overdosed on it by my mother!), but dresses like this are certainly changing my mind!

    I have grown more towards velvet. I wasn't a fan of it at first but there was also not as many cute items available then as there is now! =) Love the dress and how you styled it with the belt to give it more visual interest. Those heels are so fab too!

    The belt addition is perfect! I remember being forced to wear the most hideous velvet dress for Christmas one year. It came to my ankles, wrists, and neck - full coverage, baby! And there was zero shape. We are talking potato sack. My sisters and I all had them and had to wear them. We still make fun of those dresses to this day, haha! However, this little number in it's short and sassy way is precious! I would definitely wear this!
