I absolutely adore how velvet screams holiday! I felt like this skater dress shape was missing something, so I added a belt to break up the black and draw the eye to the waist. What do you guys think? Are you fans of velvet?

I just love it when you find a LBD that is a no brainer! I found this dress at Target and it fit like a dream! I feel like the corset top gives it a little extra flair :) I also try to throw on this crazy vest whenever possible--beads, silk, tie-dye? YES PLEASE! LOL! I hope you guys had a fabulous weekend!

For those of you who frequent my blog, (LOVE you BTW!) you know that I am obsessed with a local SF boutique called Fawn. They have amazing, unique pieces that are beyond reasonably priced. I love this lace top because it adds interest and a little coverage to my outfit, whether I'm wearing a top or a dress. I also love how the lace detail really POPS against the hot pink! But I guess hot pink is always a "no-brainer" :)

Hi beauties!! Is it just me or does this dress completely remind you of the 1990's? I feel like all I need is a denim jacket tied around my waist with Dr Martens (which are making quite the comeback actually!) and I could totally fit into a 90's sitcom (Blossom or Clarissa Explains It All, anyone? Denim western shirts are so easy to throw on and go! Just like a denim jacket, it instantly pulls together an outfit and matches everything. Whenever I'm unsure about what I want to wear, this top is an automatic go-to in my closet!

Why are accordion pleats SOOO cute? They give a little bit of texture that makes a skirt or dress interesting. I can't lie, the first thing that caught my eye about this dress was the polka dot top, but when I saw the accordion detail it was a done deal. If you look closely, the bottom of the pleats fade into thin air giving it a flirty edge.
